We Made It!!!

Sunday, January 9, 2011

We're here!  Linda and I arrived in Placencia around 4:15, 4:20 pm.

It was a long day and Delta lost my lugguage, which at the moment kinda freaked me out but always keep in mind that things truly do turn out and hmmmm...was there a lesson in this matter?

I can't begin to tell you how great the people are!

Linda and I intended on taking a small plane down to Plaencia and the folks from Tropic Air were the most accommodating airline.  Keeping in mind I had just lost my luggage so I was a bit frazzled but good friend Linda kept in check for me.  A couple gals from the company set us up with swift, courteous and helpfulness beyond compare.  Tropic Air gets ***** from me.  We were off before I knew it and did indeed get some aerial footage.  I'm not sure of the quality but be sure some of it will be included at some point.

As I write this entry I'm at a coffee shop by the name of the Boson's Chair.  Beautiful ocean breeze, overlooking the ocean ahead of me.....doing what I love to do... I am in heaven!  This is the perfect place to sip on my coffee and do my writing.  Boson's Chair is both an internet cafe and laundry service.  I got a chance to sit down and chat with the owner, Paul Bulman.  He's been here for 13 years, native of Vancover.  He really appreciates the way of life here.  I will get some either snaps or video before I leave.

However, there's a couple of matters back home I want to include.... Sam, I do have your Flat Stanley and will be sending some groovy shots of Stanely here in Placencia.

Also, I did get a different sims card but the best mode of communication with and for me is my email or Facebook.

By the end of this writing Delta did get ahold of me and the luggage is on it's way.  I should have it by this evening...  so you see, it really truly works out and I believe there was a lesson...perhaps on many levels.  For me, it very much holds true that sometimes we think we need all this stuff, but truly we don't.  There are good people all over the place that will help with both sympathy and empathy in their hearts.
