The luggage arrived pretty close to 5pm and so it was decided on having supper with our neighbors whom we shared the kitchen within our guest house. Their names were Tim & Lewis, 24 & 28 years respectively. They are Floridians on an entrepreneurial venture. They were great guys and even better neighbors. Between Linda & Lewis we had a super duper supper of chicken, rice and beans. Later, we all went over to the Barefoot bar (I think it’s called) and listened to some reggae. Lewis & I even kicked up our heels a bit. Good cook, good dancer….ladies he’s a good catch! On the way back listen to some live drumming.

Pretty nice morning. It rained some last night and presently is cloudy but the
ocean breeze is amazing. This is my favorite time of the day! It’s quiet and the birds are calling…. Around the outside of our porch is a variety of lush, tropic plants and the hummingbirds flit by from time to time in extracting nectar from the multi-varieties of gorgeous flowers.
Linda and I are setting out to see a friend, Estelitia. We’ll first take a water taxi to Independence and then bus the rest of the way.
Yesterday was spent mostly on the beach but quite a few intervals walking about the village.
I started editing some of the footage and hope to have at least a few snippets by Thursday….
Update….
Linda &I got back from Punta Gorta around 5pm …am having difficulty with my software right now and so wanted to at least let everyone know I am troubleshooting this little dilemma but ya all know that when it’s ready I’ll get it posted.
Right now we’re staying at Julia’s and Lawrence’s Guest House and if ya wanna see some pics go to their website www.juliascabanas.com.
